3 powerful strategies to monetize your website

You spend time every day to keep your site updated and offer your followers the best content. So: why not reward your effort? Monetizing your website not only brings you economic benefits, but it can also provide you with the necessary resources to increase the quality of your work.

That’s why in this post I’m going to tell you how to monetize your website through 5 effective strategies: here we go!

Monetize website

Strategy #1: Include your website in the Google AdSense network

Google AdSense is one of Google’s online advertising services. Adding your site to the AdSense network enables the automatic display of ads on your website, from which you receive economic benefits.

The ads displayed can be graphic or textual and are automatically selected by Google, from an instant auction system. In the image below you can see an example of how a blog using AdSense looks like.

You can enable Google AdSense by clicking here. The registration process is quite simple and you must do it through your Google account.

During the registration procedure you will have to enter data related to your contents and your bank account. In addition, there are a series of minimum requirements that you must meet in order to be able to join AdSense (don’t worry, they are really very basic!).

Strategy #2: Sign up for affiliate programs

A very important point on the way to monetize your website is to join the affiliate programs.

Through them, many companies dedicated to e-commerce offer money to the sites from which buyers enter or new users register. Thus, if you activate this system with a company, it will give you money for each user referred from your site who makes a purchase on its platform.

As you can see in the image, this is a simple way to earn by commission. All you need to be part of this business modality is to have a blog that generates frequent and quality content, so you can insert links and ads of the company you are affiliated to. Some of the best known sites that offer affiliate programs are.

Amazon.com: As you know, this is one of the most successful e-commerce companies in the world. Their platform offers up to 10% commission for any sale that occurs through the links displayed on the affiliates’ sites. You can learn more and sign up for the program by clicking here.

Walmart.Com: As in the previous case, this company gives you a percentage for each customer referred from your site who makes a purchase. You can sign up to this network through this link.

eBay.com: This company’s program is called the eBay Partner Network and it offers you dividends for sales made through your blog. Additionally, they pay you a percentage for the quality traffic you refer to their site.

Clickbank.com: This company boasts the best online commissions (up to 75%). In this case you must choose one of the thousands of information products that are requested to promote it from your site and obtain the corresponding earnings.

Apple.com: The proposal of this platform is to pay you a percentage for each song, book, application, movie or product you manage to sell from your site, through links and ads.

e.Dreams.com: In this case you have to get into the travel business, about which you must advertise on your website to obtain dividends. This platform allows you to opt for banners, images, HTML and other promotional formats.

Strategy #3: Sell advertising space

The idea is to take advantage of the positioning of your content to sell advertising space to companies in your niche. To be able to do this, your website must have a stable volume of traffic.

This will allow you to offer your site as a profitable place, so that companies interested in your audience can advertise their products or services.

In this regard, I recommend that you prepare a media kit, that is, a presentation with detailed information about your site and your audience, so that you can send it to your potential clients via e-mail. In it you can offer, for example, a fixed banner with a set price per month, along with other options to promote from your blog.
